The
Blantyre based team, Evirom Football Club walked back home from northern part
of Malawi without a point in two consecutive games played against Moyale FC and
Mzuzu United over the weekend at Mzuzu Stadium.
Envirom
FC saw their first defeat when they battled it out with the Lions of Kanin’gina,
Moyale FC on Saturday. The Soldiers hammered Evirom with four goals to null.
The
results left Mario Gadaga, Envirom FC coach hoping to walk back home with three
points towards Sunday’s match against Mzuzu United.
But to
the shock the team also failed its endeavor after a 3-1 knock down by Mzuzu
United.
Gadaga
accepted defeat but assured of improved performance by his team in subsequently
matches.
The disenchanted
looking coach also revealed the team’s plans in buying other players in order
to build up the squad.
The Saturday
match against Moyale FC, goals came from Gasten Simkonda and a hat trick by
Chrispin Fukizi. Fukizi was crowned man of the match following his brilliant
performance besides also scoring three goals.
In
Sunday’s match against Mzuzu United, for the winning Mzuzu United the initial
goal originated from quick and active Madalitso Chiumia who scored through a header.
The second and third goal came from the tall vigorous Peter Katsonga.
The comforter
goal for Evirom was scored by Wongani Zulu which came into first two added
minutes in the first half.
Following
the outcome, Evirom FC is now at the extreme bottom of TNM Super League with
six points seconded by Mponela United with seven points after a 1-1 draw with
Mafco FC Sunday.
